Mauve

16”x16” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame $875

Once the purview of old ladies, mauve has made a comeback. This piece was inspired by an upholstered chair I saw at Society Social. The Lee Jofa Chinese Peony chintz pairs perfectly with this one – for the grandmillennial in us all.

Saffron

16”x16” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame $875

A spice gathered by hand from the stigmas of crocus flowers… it takes about 40,000 pounds of flowers to produce one pound of saffron. The color looks delightful with every shade of pink.

Tutti Frutti

18”x 18” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame SOLD

I have an obsession with Schumacher Citrus Garden wallpaper. In our old house it would have been out of place. When we moved down the street this summer, I jumped at my chance to use it. Now my powder room is the happiest place on earth (next to Tartine Bakery that is).

Portrait Palette

18”x18” gold leaf edges, acrylic box frame $975

This is where the collection all started. I had a travel palette that I used in my first portrait painting workshop. The professor had us mix every color he could imagine us needing to use for a portrait. After the workshop, the completed palette lingered in my studio for years. When I got it out to travel again, I thought the little piles of paint were so striking in their simplicity and richness.

Chinoiserie

18”x18” gold leaf edges, acrylic box frame  SOLD

if you grew up anything like me, the females in your family instilled in you a firm love for Southern Living magazine, poundcake, fresh peaches, and chinoiserie. Blue and white always held court on their bookshelves, as it does now on mine.

Absinthe

18”x18” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame SOLD

Absinthe was so wildly popular in Paris at the turn of the 19th century that the 5-6pm was often referred to as l’heure verte, which translates to “the green hour.”

Beige

24”x24” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame SOLD

Beige gets a bad wrap. It isn’t boring or safe. It is calm and quiet. This beige gets a healthy dose of blue as it progresses, much like a foggy morning that clears to blue skies.

Saffron Grande

30”x30” gold leaf edges, acrylic box frame $1550

A larger version of the saffron and pink exploration with flecks of gold sticking to the paint. It goes from sweet to sassy and I always imagine it in some tween girl’s room!

Avocado

36”x36” natural birch edges, acrylic box frame $1950

This happy piece has a hidden gem. Can you find the gold at the end of the rainbow?

Verdigris

36”x48” with or without gold leaf edges, acrylic box frame $2800/$3000

Verdigris is the color of old copper. The patina that forms on it cannot be duplicated and just gets better with time.
